FarmID™ is a digital infrastructure platform developed by TANZ member organisations, including Backstory and ID Digital Media, that provides agricultural enterprises with a trusted digital identity and connects information about land, ownership, activities, regulatory obligations and operational risks.
Built around a knowledge graph and interoperable identity framework, FarmID™ enables authorised organisations, applications and AI agents to securely access, analyse and exchange agricultural information.

The platform supports agricultural intelligence, environmental compliance, financial risk assessment, supply chain transparency and AI agent orchestration.
Initial implementation in Canterbury, New Zealand, has established digital identities and connected regulatory information for more than 4,000 farms, demonstrating how fragmented agricultural datasets can be transformed into contextual, actionable intelligence.
FarmID™ is being developed for deployment across multiple agricultural sectors and international jurisdictions, providing a foundation for federated agricultural intelligence and AI-driven services.
